we're homeschooling now. it's better. getting a child a good education in a public school is more work than homeschooling. really. give it a try. plus you won't have to wake up early and pack a lunch.

i miss my california life. i really do. i don't think the drs. here pass out antidepressants quite as openly as they do out west. or maybe i haven't met the right dr yet.

had a nice weekend at my parents' place. horses, cows, kittens, fish and both my sisters' families. again, a nice time. i think martin has posted some pics.

i have a couple of new friends. one is a temporary transplant from denver with a couple of boys and the other has two adopted kids from ethiopia. she invited us over for ethiopian food. i'm so excited. the ethnic restaurant food here SUCKS. really, i'm not exaggerating. i know, i know, i need to get deep down into the city. in l.a., good ethnic food was never more than three blocks away.
